Emma Sadd (she/her)
- Senior Coordinator for Knowledge Management
As Senior Coordinator for Knowledge Management, Emma works closely with the Communications and Learning Teams to support the creation and sharing of collective knowledge and learning on what works to address child marriage around the world. She helps to ensure that Girls Not Brides resources reflect the latest data and evidence, and are available and useful to diverse audiences. She coordinates the translation of resources between English, French and Spanish.
Prior to joining Girls Not Brides, Emma worked on development and prevention of recruitment/exploitation programmes in Colombia and Somalia. In her research, communications and evaluation roles, she learned the value of two-way communication between community and inter/national actors, and promoted learning and responsiveness to context. In working with communities affected by violent conflict, Emma also became passionate about human and Indigenous rights, and the ability of girls and women to fulfil their potential alongside boys and men.
Emma has an MA in Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and a BA in Geography. She speaks English, French and Spanish.
